How we build your shade for Riyadh’s climate
Riyadh is inland, high and dry. Its problems are different from the humid coast, and we build for them.
Heat and UV
Your summer afternoons are among the hottest of any major Saudi city, under a mostly clear sky. We use UV-stabilised fabric — PVC and PTFE block close to 100% of UV, HDPE up to 95% — and give you enough overhang to keep the car shaded as the sun moves.
Dust and sandstorms
PVC car parking shades have a smooth, closed surface you can hose down, so your villa or office shade looks clean again after a dust storm. HDPE car parking shades are knitted and breathable; some fine dust passes through, but they release hot air and cost less, which suits big open car parks.
Rain and wind
Riyadh’s spring storms can be sudden and heavy, so if you want rain kept off your cars, we slope PVC fabric to shed it. Strong gusts arrive ahead of sandstorms, so every structure is engineered for SBC 301 wind loads, with columns, footings and fabric tension sized for your site’s exposure.

Villas in Al Malqa, Al Narjis, Al Yasmin and Hittin often have wider plots and longer driveways than coastal homes, and many families own three or more cars, including large SUVs. Here is how we handle that for you.
- Room for all your cars. Standard sizes are 6.0 × 3.0 m for one car and 6.0 × 6.0 m for two; we extend the length or add a second unit for three or more. A one-car shade starts from approx. SAR 2,500, a two-car shade from approx. SAR 4,500 (excl. VAT).
- Clear height for SUVs. The standard 2.5 m open height is raised for large SUVs or roof boxes.
- Columns out of the way. A cantilever car parking shade keeps columns on one side, so doors open freely and your children can walk safely around the cars.
- A colour that suits your house. Choose from 12 colours. Light shades reflect the most heat; greys and sand tones hide Riyadh dust better.

Permits and practical advice for Riyadh
- Balady permit. Riyadh Municipality has its own rules for shades, especially those visible from the street or near the boundary. Where your site needs a Balady carport permit, we prepare the shade drawings and work with a licensed engineering office to file it.
- Access. Your materials arrive by truck from Dammam, so tell us early about narrow streets, gate widths or compound access rules.
- Aftercare. After a severe sandstorm, fabric tension and bolts are worth checking. Our annual maintenance plans start from SAR 500/year and cover re-tensioning, cleaning and repairs.
