02
A clean, smooth ceiling over every car
A pyramid shade is a four-sided roof that rises from the edges of each bay to a raised centre point. On our top support model the steel rafters run above the fabric and the membrane is fixed underneath them. For you, that means one thing: from below, your car park looks neat and finished, with no frame cutting across the view. It is one of several structures in our types of car parking shades range.
If you prefer the steel underneath and a slightly simpler fixing detail, we also build the pyramid bottom support version. During the site visit we show you both and help you decide.
A layout that fits your car park
- Single module: one pyramid over one or two cars, ideal for a villa driveway or reserved manager bays.
- Row of modules: pyramids side by side on a shared line of columns, the usual layout we draw for office and school car parks.
- Back-to-back rows: two rows share one central column line, so you cover a full parking aisle with fewer posts and lower cost per car.
03
Why our pyramid top support car parking shades work for you

- A tidy look your visitors notice. With the steel above, the underside reads as one smooth fabric surface, which suits reception areas, hospitals and corporate car parks.
- Firm hold in strong wind. When gusts try to lift the canopy, the fabric presses up against the frame above it instead of pulling away. Our engineers then size the columns, footings and fixings for your site’s exposure under SBC 301.
- Rain runs off fast. Four pitched faces send water to the edges quickly, which matters during sudden winter downpours in Riyadh, Taif or Abha.
- Grows with your site. We can add modules later on the same column grid, so you can cover the first rows now and the rest next year.
- Good value. Pyramid is the most economical structure we build; a cantilever of the same size usually costs a little more.
What we tell every client honestly: the steel is visible from above, for example from upper-floor windows, and the fabric needs a more careful fixing detail than the bottom support type, which can add a little to fabrication cost. If those points matter for your building, we will say so at the survey.
04
Where our clients use them
- Corporate and government car parks in Dammam, Al Khobar and Dhahran, where the first thing visitors see should look tidy.
- Hospitals and clinics, where patients wait in their cars and a smooth, light ceiling feels calmer.
- Schools and universities in Riyadh and Jeddah, for staff bays and drop-off zones.
- Industrial sites in Jubail and Yanbu, where we cover long rows of bays and use hot-dip galvanised steel against the coastal air.
- Villas and compounds, where one or two modules protect the family cars from sun, dust and bird droppings.
05
How we handle your project from survey to handover

- Free site visit. We measure the area, check access, buried services and ground conditions, and talk through fabric and colour with you.
- Drawing and quotation. Our engineers set out the column grid and module sizes, choose the steel sections and design the footings for your site’s wind exposure. You receive a layout drawing and a written quote to approve before any payment.
- Permit, where needed. If your municipality asks for a Balady carport permit, we prepare the shade drawings and work with a licensed engineering office to file it.
- Fabrication in our workshop. Steel is cut, welded and finished in Dammam under our own quality control. The fabric is patterned and cut so each panel fits its frame without wrinkles.
- Installation by our crews. We cast the footings, erect the columns and frame, fit and tension the fabric and hand the shade over clean. A villa takes 1–2 days on site; 10–20 bays take about 2–4 weeks.
06
The right fabric and colour for your cars
- PVC (costs more than HDPE, fully waterproof): full shade and waterproof, with close to 100% UV block. The choice for hospitals, offices and anywhere cars stand all day. We usually suggest a slightly higher clear height so warm air can escape.
- HDPE (our most economical fabric): a breathable knitted fabric with up to 95% UV block. Hot air passes through, so the space stays cooler, and it is the most economical option for large car parks.
- PTFE (quoted per project): a coated fibreglass membrane with 25+ years of typical life, for landmark entrances and premium projects.
Colour advice from our team: white, cream and grey reflect more sun and look bright underneath. Darker shades hide dust better in Riyadh and the Eastern Province. You choose from 12 colours, and we help you decide at the site visit.
07
We keep your shade looking new

- Annual maintenance plans: we inspect, clean and re-tension the fabric, check bolts, welds and column bases, and touch up coatings.
- Re-tensioning after the Shamal season: a slack panel flaps and wears faster, so we tighten it before it becomes a problem.
- Fabric replacement: when the fabric reaches the end of its life, we replace the panels on your existing frame.
- Between visits: hose the fabric down a few times a year, and more often after sandstorms, to keep dust from settling into it.

What sets the price of your pyramid shade
- Fabric: HDPE is the most economical, PVC costs more but is waterproof, and PTFE sits at the premium end.
- Steel finish: hot-dip galvanising costs more than painted MS but lasts far longer near the coast; we recommend it for Dammam, Jubail, Jeddah and Yanbu.
- Number of bays: larger car parks get volume pricing, so the cost per bay drops.
- Layout: back-to-back rows need fewer columns per car than single modules.
- Clear height and bay size: taller columns and wider spans need heavier steel and bigger footings.
- Site conditions: asphalt to cut, buried services or a remote location.
Whether it is a single villa bay or a full staff car park, we price it only after a free site survey, so the figure matches your real site. Send us your bay count and city, and we will send you a clear written quotation, with no hidden costs, before you pay anything.
